The Woodland girls Cross Country team capped off a perfect season with their third consecutive NWAAC 8th Grade Championship. The team has won nine straight meets, stretching back to the 2017-2018 season. This year's team won at Elkins, Siloam Springs, Springdale, Van Buren, and took the Junior High title at the Chile Pepper XC Festival. The victory at Chile Pepper was the first in program history and quite possibly the toughest competition the team faced this season, with teams from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Missouri participating. The Cowgirls were led by 8th grader Carson Wasemiller, who won individual titles at Elkins, Springdale, Chile Pepper, and was the NWAAC 8th and 9th Grade Champion. Carson was joined by 8th grader Kenja Dresel, who placed 2nd in both 8th and 9th grade Conference meets.
